Hi! We're a two props making students from London, a girl and a boy, and would like to make a collaborative work together - the aim is a sword.

The base should be a sword of the Lord of the Ring films, an elven sword preferably, but with design modifications.

Our university has a very good workshop - props and scenic construction - and we have welding tools, but it's obviously not a workshop of a swordsmith. Now, we were wondering if there're sword makers in and around London who have space and facilities and would guide us? Of course, we're willing to pay for material and time, that should be out of question.

We'd be very happy if you could recommend names!
The same applies for books for the theoretical aspect as well.
If you have issues we should think over first we may don't think of, please let us now and we'll discuss it. This is an important project to both of us and we're taking it seriously.

I apologize for any speeling mistakes, I'm (the girl) actually from abroad.

I do not know of any sword makers in London personally but I'm sure you could find some. You could google sword makers in London and start there.

I wish you the best of luck on your project.
